League of Legends Patch 9.14 tier list aggregation – jungle edition
By Josh Tyler
Falling Champions
Jarvan IV (S to A+ tier)
Hecarim (S to A+ tier)
Evelynn (S to A+ tier)
Eve’s win rate is still in the top 10 (currently 51.8%) and hasn’t dropped since last patch, so what gives? The answer, quite simply, is nothing. She just fell out of S tier because there is no S tier.
That’s right, in Patch 9.14 not one single jungler was ranked in the S tier for the role, so all three of the junglers who were previously in the S tier have dropped into the A+ tier. It’s a freakish occurrence that I’ve, frankly, never seen but I wouldn’t take too much stock in this as an indication that jungle is weak or anything. There just aren’t any clear stand-out junglers at the moment.
Lee Sin (A+ to A tier)
Perpetually in our top five or ten junglers, this is the lowest Lee Sin has ever been ranked on our tier list aggregations, which just goes to show why so many jungle mains have that Lee Sin pick in their pocket. His win rate, while down from last patch, is only at 47.7% which is not great but not incredibly worrisome considering that’s only a 0.7% decrease.
Kayn (A+ to A tier)
Similarly, this is Kayn’s lowest ranking in our tier list since he got those buffs in Patch 9.8 to his E – Shadow Step. His win rate is under 50% (49.5%) but it’s actually up from last patch by 0.5%. I think Kayn, like a lot of these higher-ranked junglers is not actually worse but just getting compressed in the rankings as the differences between the best and decent junglers has gotten tighter.
Master Yi (A+ to A tier)
This is a stabilization drop, pure and simple. After getting those bugfix “buffs” in 9.12, Yi jumped up to the A+ tier for one patch but is now settling down to the ranking he’s probably best suited for.
Rengar (A to B+ tier)
Same case for Rengar, who jumped out of the bush into the A tier for the first time in six patches back in 9.13. Unfortunately for Rengar, he didn’t get to stay in that A tier before being pushed out to the B/B+ tier he previously stayed right in.
Sejuani (B+ to B tier)
Continuing her fall after the nerfs in Patch 9.13, Sejuani has now dropped from A+ to B in the span of two patches. Her win rate has stabilized since the last patch, but overall she’s still down over 2% since the nerf.
Udyr (B to C tier)
Jatt made sure to get his Udyr “buffs” in before leaving the balance team and returning to the LCS. Unfortunately, those buffs don’t seem to have worked. Although Udyr’s win rate is up from Patch 9.13, it’s still down from where it was before those “buffs.”
Graves (C to D tier)
The story fo Graves in season 9 has been that of a champion on the decline. Now, he has reached a new nadir hitting the D tier for the first time in our aggregated rankings.
Skarner (C to D tier)
Pour one out for Captain Flowers. Despite Skarner’s win rate being at it’s highest rate in five patches (at 50.8% this is the first time it’s been over 50%) sites still don’t consider Skarner to be a power pick. The highest grade any tier list gave him was a B rating.
