New Additions

Renekton
Garen
Tristana

I won’t spend too much time on any of these picks because these are all other laners entering the mid lane temporarily. None are above low-D tier, so I wouldn’t suggest investing a lot of time into any of them as mid lane picks.

New subtractions

Galio

Rising Champions

Fizz (A to A+ tier)

Although his win rate has actually gone down in 9.15, his pick rate went up by more than 1%.

Yasuo (B to B+ tier)

Yasuo’s win rate actually spiked in 9.15, from 48.1% to 50.5%. This marks the first time his win rate in mid lane has been above 50% in five patches.

Xerath (B to B+ tier)

Similar story for Xerath, who saw his win rate spike over 50% finally, to 50.3%. The 1.3% win rate increase indicates he’s doing quite well into those long-range meta mages like Azir.

Corki (B to B+ tier)

As he’s become one of the dominant pro play picks, Corki’s pick rate has shot up to over 7%. This brought him up our rankings even though his win rate has been stable for several patches now.

Sylas (B to B+ tier)

The second-most picked mid laner (10.2% pick rate), the fact that Sylas’s win rate in mid stayed stable for several patches as his pick rate increased gives support for him being ranked more highly.

Mordekaiser (F to B tier)
Swain (F to B tier)
Qiyana (F to B tier)

All of these champions got reworked/released recently (Swain and Qiyana got buffs this patch) so I think they were all incorrectly rated in the F tier. B is probably more appropriate as players figure out how to work their kits.

Akali (C to B tier)

A 0.6% increase to her win rate after getting major changes to her kit in 9.14, mid lane mains are starting to figure out how to use Akali more effectively. She saw a similar improvement to her ranking in top lane as well.

Kled (D to C tier)

As the best top laner in the current meta, Kled is unsurprisingly also considered as a possible pick in mid lane. He has the fourth-highest win rate at 51.8% in that role.
