Shen

"Q – Twilight Assault Empowered Champion Damage Ratio: 4/4.5/5/5.5/6% of target’s maximum health –> 5/5.5/6/6.5/7% of target’s maximum health. E – Shadow Dash Base Physical Damage:  50/75/100/125/150 –> 60/85/110/135/160."

As the meta shifted from permanent bottom lane fights to solo lane fiestas, Shen’s priority fell, and he became near invisible in pro play (other than in the support role). On top of that, he doesn’t really win trades against any current meta top laner, and the utility from his R – Stand United can hardly be utilised from a grey screen.

More from Blog of Legends

The E damage buff is pretty irrelevant as its used more for its taunt than damage, but +10 damage in trades is great otherwise! However, the 1% max health damage buff on his Q is the perfect way to buff Shen and increase his position on the top lane tier list from the bottom to just above the bottom. He can now win a few trades and has a bit more power in split pushes.

Ultimately, the top lane meta doesn’t currently lend itself to the likes of Shen, and until he can properly utilise his ultimate in the early game, he’ll remain a very niche pick.

Singed

"Base Stats Mana: 290.6 –> 330. Attack Damage: 62.32 –> 63. Mana Regen: 7.524 –> 7.5. Attack Speed Growth: 1.81% –> 1.9%. R – Insanity Potion Bonus Stats: 30/55/80 –> 30/60/90."

Late game Insanity Potion is insane! Singed’s 51.63% win rate clearly needs a buff, so lets add 10 to all of his stats if he somehow makes it to the late game.

I’m honestly lost as to how Singed has such a high win rate. These buffs won’t make much of a difference, in fact they should hopefully balance out his win rate as less experienced players try him out on Patch 9.16.

Sion

"Base Stats Mana: 325.6 –> 330. Health: 542.64 –> 545. Mana Regen: 8.0008 –> 8. Q – Decimating Smash Base Minimum Damage: 20/40/60/80/100 –> 30/50/70/90/110. Base Maximum Damage: 60/120/180/240/300 –> 70/135/200/265/330. [Removed] Reduced Damage on Monsters: Decimating Smash no longer deals 80% damage against monsters."

BAH GAWD. That’s JUNGLE SION’s music!

Not really, in fact it’s not even top lane Sion’s music. These are healthy buffs for Sion, but he has no place in the current meta unfortunately.

Sivir

"W – Ricochet Ratio: 50/55/60/65/70% Attack Damage –> 30/40/50/60/70% Attack Damage."

Reducing Sivir’s W damage early is a great way to reduce her presence in the bottom lane. There should be some punishment for such a short range marksman existing, and now she’s more likely to lose trades if taken correctly and shouldn’t be able to instantly clear out waves like before. This offers opportunities to take her down early and punish her short range.

Sylas

"Q – Chain Lash Detonation Damage: 45% reduced damage || against minions –> against minions and monsters."

🦀🦀 Jungle Sylas is dead 🦀🦀

Syndra

"Q – Dark Sphere Transcendent: 15% bonus damage against champions –> 25% bonus damage against champions. E – Scatter the Weak Base Damage: 70/115/160/205/250 –> 85/130/175/220/265."

Has anyone ever thought “I really wish Syndra was meta again, I miss how she can one shot you by pressing R.”?

I guess if we’re removing Azir and Corki from the meta, a boring mid lane champion has to take their place. Welcome back, Syndra!
