Buffed champions

Ekko

Riot saw fit to buff Ekko’s E – Phase Dive‘s damage and his R – Chronobreak‘s cooldown. While those buffs don’t appear to have had their impact yet (his win rate fell slightly and he remains in the B tier for another patch) it is worth noting that he’s being picked more in Platinum and above. It’s gone up almost 2% in 9.16.

Kassadin

After the buff to Kassadin’s W – Nether Blade, he’s jumped back into the A tier. Now, he was rated as an A pick as recently as 9.14, but I do think that the buff had an effect. His win rate is currently just over 51%, the highest it’s been in four patches.

Leblanc

She got a buff to the AP ratio on her Q – Sigil of Malice hasn’t affected her ranking as a mid laner. Her win rate did jump up from 46.9% to 48.5%, but considering she had one of the worst win rates among mids I don’t know how much of the jump is due to a placebo buff.

Lux

The buff to Lux’s W – Prismatic Barrier was aimed more at her support strength than her mid strength. It’s therefore unsurprising that her win rate in mid dropped while her average rating didn’t improve too much.

Syndra

Buffing the percent bonus damage on her Q – Dark Sphere and the base damage on her E – Scatter the Weak helped a bit but not enough to move her in the ratings. She remains a C tier pick, but she is currently quite close to being in the B tier. Her win rate also improved, but it’s at the same level it was in Patch 9.14.

Ziggs

Long ignored, Ziggs has rebounded out of the depths of F tier  into his long-time home in the D tier. Yes, his win rate bounced up to 49.6% after the buffs to his W – Satchel Charge and R – Mega Inferno Bomb, but it’s not significantly higher than it has been in the patch. Ziggs is unfortunately still is a weak state within the meta.

Nerfed champions

Azir

While he’s been a prominent pro pick, Azir’s never been much of a threat in solo queue (his best rating in our tier list was in the C tier in Patch 9.14). Now, following the nerfs to his Q – Conquering Sands, Azir dropped to the D tier and his win rate plummeted from 47.6% to the worst among mids – 45.4%.

Corki

Just some nerfs to Corki’s base stats seemed to go a long way. He fell all the way to our D tier from the B+ tier one patch ago. His win rate, which was steadily around 50.5%, cratered to 46.6% in this patch.

Biscuit Delivery Users

The Inspiration Rune Biscuit Delivery got nerfs in Patch 9.16. Here’s how much it affected it’s most frequent users (used in at least 10% of mid lane rune set-ups) that have not received buffs or nerfs in the past two patches:

  • Ahri: -0.255
  • Anivia: -0.033
  • Aurelion Sol: -0.304
  • Cassiopeia: +0.014
  • Fizz: +0.043
  • Irelia: +0.012
  • Jayce: -0.089
  • Neeko: -0.378
  • Orianna: -0.041
  • Ryze: -0.058
  • Taliyah: -0.233
  • Tristana: -0.076
  • Twisted Fate: -0.047
  • Viktor: -0.055
  • Zilean: +0.037
  • Zoe: -0.157

The average change among these champions was about -0.101, so the Biscuit users do seem to have been hit quite significantly by the nerf.
