League of Legends Patch 9.16 jungle tier list aggregation – Sejuani got bucked off the boar
By Josh Tyler
Buffed champions
Ekko
We touched on him briefly but the buffs to his kit seem to have made him a viable jungler.
Pantheon
After the rework Pantheon jungle is…well let’s just say it’s bad. Sitting in our F tier, Panth jungle has just a 42.9% win rate in Patch 9.16 in his current state.
Jax
You wouldn’t think the buff to his Q – Leap Strike cooldown would be that huge, but it actually does make a big deal in the early levels. Because Jax is going to max W first, having Q on a lower cooldown for the first few levels (until about level 7) means that he has a few more windows to gank early.
Jax rose from C tier last patch all the way to B tier following these buffs. His jungle win rate also shot up from 49.5% to 51.2%. Almost a 2% increase in one patch is pretty significant and I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes up further next patch.
Nocturne
Nocturne was left in the garbage pile for most of Season 9 after having a strong start where he was actually a viable pro pick. After some buffs to his base stats and the bonus attack speed on his W – Shroud of Darkness, he’s right back to prowling the jungles.
He rose from a consistent D tier pick to now being high C tier. Like Jax, his win rate also jumped from last patch’s 47.6% to his current win rate of 50.2%. That’s over a 2.5% increase, which is quite significant.
Nerfed champions
Sejuani
She’s been a menace in pro play for a while now, even though she hasn’t been too bad in terms of solo queue (after the last nerfs in 9.13 she never was above B+ tier). Now, Riot is nerfing her Passive – Fury of the North‘s bonus armor and MR along with the cooldown on her Q – Arctic Assault.
Unfortunately for you solo queue Sejuani players this did cause her win rate to crater from 49.5% last patch to 47.4% this patch, despite the fact that her pick rate has also been plunging for five straight patches. Only time will tell if Riot overnerfed her, but she’s currently in our D tier.
Sylas
And RIP to Sylas jungle, it was fun while it lasted. Riot finally caused the Q – Chain Lash‘s damage reduction to apply to minions and monsters (previously it was only minions) crippling the kingslayer’s clear speed.
His win rate dropped from 49.2% to one of the lowest among junglers, 47.2% and he fell from the B tier (his highest ranking in our tier list) to the D tier. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up off our tier list in the jungle soon.
