Game 2: EDG 1-1

The drama in Game 2 got under way in the picks and bans phase. After realizing that Easyhoon was going to be too much for PawN to handle,

Here is the entire picks and bans for Game 2.

Then once the game started, EDG thought it best to start off with a little five man invade that worked out in their favor. A three kill opening gave EDG a massive lead going into laning phase.

SKT thought they would even things up a bit once they went down three kills with a solid turret dive that gave them two kills an all the momentum. They did have to give up a dragon, but the worth was real.

The momentum continued to shift in SKT’s favor EDG’s mid lane, PawN got out of position leading to another two kills for SKT. The gold was even, and it was anyone’s game heading into late game.

However, EDG quickly regained advantage as a team fight went sour for SKT. Clearlove’s Gragas set up an easy double kill for the ADC, Jinx and then cleaned up himself grabbing a second double kill to go up in kills 13-7, and even snag the first mid-lane turret of game 2. Not the best play from SKT, and it seemed that EDG was going to run away with Game 2 just as SKT did in Game 1. But this Baron steal put a stop to that thinking for a time.

Team fights too OP for EDG. One fight basically neutralized the Baron steal. Then another gave PawN another double kill that led to a push and completely changed the outcome of this game. If SKT was planning on coming back from this one, they needed to make sure to enter into necessary team fights. Instead, ab out of position Leona led to horrible team fights which was the story in the late game for Game 2.

A final Baron kill for EDG, this time it wasn’t stolen, and a couple split pushes put the final straw on the SKT camel’s back. EDG ties it up, winning Game 2, 31-13.
