Game 3: EDG 2-1

Edward gaming thought it best to go damage over anything in their champ select. They have an Azir and Jinx, virtually neutralizing the Rek’sai pick. Here are all the picks and bans before Game 3.

Despite all the DPS picked from EDG, the game had a slow start. Lanes were controlled, no invade was successful, and first blood didn’t come until 7:38 on a three man turret dive from EDG.

It seemed after the craziness during Game 1 and 2 tired out the two teams in the championship. They both just wanted to farm their minions and chill until mid-game.

Unfortunately for SKT, this slow start didn’t work in their favor due to their team comp. Because the Lulu couldn’t harrass PawN in mid as well as Easyhoon would have liked, EDG went up 4-0 and took first drag. This led to a solid gold lead and dragon control for the majority of mid-game. The one exciting thing about Game 3 early on was Clearlove getting the first four kills of the match. Pardon the pun, but I think it is safe to say that Clearlove’s Nunu was going to “snowball” from here on out.

From here on out, SKT relied on picking off EDG in the jung and creating mismatches in team fights. Unfortunately for them, they couldn’t even muster six kills as EDG took Game 3 with a forfeit from SKT.
