10.) Pheonix1

Pheonix1 recently purchased Team Impulses’s NA LCS spot to become the newest team in the region.

The West saw a lot of success in teams making their first appearance in professional play during the Spring Split, but it would be absolutely shocking to see this team have similar success.

The team is made of a seven-man roster, but their starters are Derek “zig” Shao in the top lane, Rami “Inori” Charagh in the jungle, Choi “Pirean” Jun-sik in the mid lane, Brandon “Mash” Phan at attack damage carry (ADC) and Austin “Gate” Yu at support.

As you can see, Pheonix1 kept a lot of what made up Team Impulse, and that looks like a team that is destined to fight in the promotion tournament.

They will probably only win a few games the entire season.

9.) Team Envy

Team Envy is the other new team in the NA LCS that got here by buying Renegades’ spot.

Similar to Pheonix1, Envy kept a few of the players from the team they bought to help fill out their roster: Shin “Seraph” Woo-yeong in the top lane, Kim “Procxin” Se-young in the jungle, No “Ninja” Geon-woo in the mid lane, Benjamin “LOD” deMunck at ADC and Nickolas “Hakuho” Surgent at support.

This roster does have some talented players on it, but it’s not talented enough to have high expectations.

If things go really well, this team could possibly contend for the final playoff spot, but seeing them in the promotion tournament after the Summer Split seems much more likely.
