4.) Cloud9

The biggest question mark heading into this split has to be Cloud9.

Like NRG, Cloud9’s offseason was no joke and they will enter the summer with an entirely new look. They still have Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen and Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi, but joining them in the starting lineup will be Impact, William “Meteos” Hartman and Michael “Bunny FuFuu” Kurylo.

This roster looks better than their previous one – but that’s just on paper – they still need to play the games.

The team looked absolutely atrocious the last time they were without their shotcaller Hai “Hai” Lam, and that same scenario is still a possibility.

Cloud9 could be amazing if they can come together and have someone step into Hai’s role smoothly, but that’s a big “if” and we will have to wait and see how it plays out.

It would be shocking if Cloud9 finished outside of the top four.

3.) Immortals

Immortals might be the most exciting team in all of North America, but they are also the most perplexing.

They dominated the regular season of the Spring Split by only losing one game, but then they got annihilated in the playoffs by TSM and didn’t look like themselves at all.

They still have as much talent as anyone in the region, but it would be near impossible for them to replicate their regular season performance from the previous split. Not only have teams had a split to understand Immortals better, but the best-of-three format will test Immortals even more.

Immortals will always be a top team on raw talent alone, but they need to show us that they are a disciplined team that can adapt to whatever meta is going on and play the game the right way.
