Top 5 changes from Patch 6.11

3. Trinity Force changes
Riot loves trying to fix things that aren’t broken, and for some reason, they thought Trinity Force needed to be changed.
The item is now a little bit cheaper and has a different build path, and that’s because its stats have been changed. Its attack speed has been increased from 15 percent to 40 percent, cooldown reduction increased from 10 percent to 20 percent and the 20 percent critical strike chance has been removed completely.
Trinity Force is a core item for a lot of champions, and the changes to it will buff and nerf many of them.
Take Gangplank and Corki into consideration for a second. Those champions have always rushed Trinity Force as their first item and critical strike chance is a huge part of their kit. They simply can’t avoid buying Trinity Force because crit has been removed from it since they still need the advantages given from Sheen and such. So, essentially, this will go down as a nerf to them.
On the flip side, there are some champions who were already rushing Trinity Force that will be buffed from these changes: like Irelia and Jax. Those champions don’t care about critical strike chance at all, and the increased attack speed and cooldown reduction will synergize great with them.
It will be interesting to see what other champions can make great use of the new Trinity Force.
