Week 2 power rankings for the 2016 Summer Split of the EU LCS.

It was nice to have the EU LCS back in action, but as much as it sucks to admit, Week 1 was incredibly underwhelming – and that’s hard to do in the opening week.

Hopefully, it was just because of the layoff in between splits, but we saw very little great League of Legends being played over the first two days.

On top of that, it seems like Europe has little competition at the top of its ladder right now – and that’s never a good thing. We knew that G2 Esports were probably going to be the best team this summer purely on talent alone, but it’s sad to think that they might have only one team competing with them.

Week 1 made it seem like the pecking order in the EU LCS is G2—-Fnatic——————everyone else (sorry for the spoilers, but it’s pretty obvious).

That’s quite sad to see after the region had so much competition during the Spring Split.

However, Week 1 wasn’t all that bad. There were some pleasant surprises with teams and players showing more promise than anyone expected, and now it’s time to see if those things are the real deal or not. The beginning of the split always has some flukes, so you can’t immediately buy into everything you see.

Here are the power rankings heading into Week 2 of the 2016 Summer Split.
