Don’t Try to Force Ganks

Ganking is one of those things that’s easier said than done. A good jungler can tell when to gank by looking at the map and can pull off a successful kill even if the enemy if close to their tower.

Unfortunately, you probably aren’t at that level yet, and it’s completely OK!

Don’t try to force ganks that don’t need to be forced in lanes. If your team is pushing up, just stay in your jungle and continue to farm. Try to ward the enemy junglers red and blue camps and provide support by pinging their location to let your pushed up lanes know where the jungler is.

There is no need to put yourself at risk of getting killed by trying to force a gank on an enemy who is playing defensively. This, in fact, can hurt your lanes as you’ll potentially give the enemy laner a couple extra kills, making your teammates life a living hell.

Now sometimes ganking can completely come down to what champion you are playing vs. what champion your opponent is playing, but understanding things like this will come with time.

So play safe, play smart and only take advantage of a gank if it presents itself.
