2. Buff to AD items
The ADC role as a whole has felt incredibly underpowered for a long time, but it looks like that might be changing soon.
Riot heard the cries from the community and decided to give a nice buff to ADC items.
First, Infinity Edge and Essence Reaver both got their attack damage increased from 65 to 70. Yes, the +5 AD meme lives on.
Next, Lord Dominik’s Regards and Mortal Reminder both got their attack damage increased from 40 to 50.
Finally, Bilgewater Cutlass’ price went down from 1,650 to 1,500.
These changes seem minor on paper, but every buff adds up.
Nearly every ADC builds both Infinity Edge and Essence Reaver, and they will usually get either Lord Dominik’s Regards or Mortal Reminder towards the end of their build. All of those items were buffed, and when you combine all those buffs, that’s an increase of 20 attack damage. That’s going to feel nice and there’s no denying that ADC players are stronger today than they were yesterday.
Hopefully, this buff to ADC itemization gives the role enough of a boost, because who knows when Riot would be able to look at the issue again. The only other easy fix would be to make the items cheaper, but that might not be necessary after these buffs. We’ll have to wait and see.
