2016 NA LCS power rankings for Week 7 of the Summer Split
By Andrew Ross
6. Team Envy
Take advantage of an easy opening schedule to go 4-0 and give fans false hope — classic!
In all seriousness, things haven’t been going too well for Envy since their hot start. Through the last four weeks, Envy has only won two of their eight matches.
They seemed like a lock to make the playoffs, but now they are holding on for dear life to one of the final spots. They do seem like an overall good team, so it would be shocking to see them continue this skid and miss the playoffs.
They should be able to turn things around this week as they face off against NRG and Apex.
5. Counter Logic Gaming
It’s happening incredibly slowly, but CLG seem to be getting rid of the horrible team that entered the split.
The only thing they have worried about is making the playoffs, and they are still in a fine position to make that happen.
Week 6 was a clean week with wins against Envy and Phoenix1, but CLG will have to start taking down some of the elite teams to prove to themselves that they are still as good as they think they are.
They face off against Immortals this Friday night and they absolutely cannot afford to get destroyed. A loss is acceptable, but they have to at least compete.
Next: 4. Team Liquid, 3. Cloud9
