2016 NA LCS power rankings for Week 7 of the Summer Split
By Andrew Ross
4. Team Liquid
Everyone was feeling good about Liquid coming into the week, but Immortals quickly brought everyone back to the reality of the situation.
Liquid is a good team, above average, but they aren’t one of the elite teams — at least not consistently.
There are games where Liquid look like one of the best teams in North America, but there are also a lot of games where they look average at best. You never know which team is going to show up.
It will be interesting to see how their series against TSM goes on Sunday. Hopefully, it will be the good Liquid that shows up.
3. Cloud9
Week 5 was awful for Cloud9, but this past weekend was fairly uneventful for them. They lost to TSM and took down NRG — no surprises there.
Cloud9 vs. TSM was supposed to be the match of the week, but TSM didn’t allow that to happen as they stomped Cloud9.
While many consider Cloud9 to be an elite team, they have yet to take down either TSM or Immortals. It’s more likely that they are the best of the second-tier teams (them, Liquid and CLG).
And if that statement is true, Cloud9 should have no problem with either Apex or CLG this weekend.
Next: 2. Immortals, 1. TSM
