There’s a lot to be said about the dunkmaster, starting with his insane ultimate. Even pre-juggernaut rework, he was relevant and earned his place dominating solo queue. Post rework, however, he has become a monster, especially due to his synergy with black cleaver, as well as his healing. When he has the capability to heal for a massive percentage of his health, while dealing large amounts of damage and tanking, you know you have a strong pick.

Creating a strong pick doesn’t necessarily make a champion well-made, however. He has great ability combos that combine seamlessly together to create a fluid experience. He also has great visual design as the satisfaction of seeing his dunk is phenomenal.

This insane pentakill in Season 5 World’s is probably the best competitive Darius moment. It exemplifies the core of who the reset machine is, while also having North America destroy Europe for one beautiful second (sorry to the Europe fans).

Seeing this live was one of the best moments you can have spectating a sport, and it was all made possible by Darius.

A few champions contain the same “reset” qualities that Darius possesses, but utilizing it in a tank form makes it highly specialized. Additionally, rather than being based on reset of movement, such as Kha’Zix’s E or Tristana’s W, it’s focused on a true damage nuke that creates unique scenarios in-game.
