22. Ashe

Ashe was always the first champion that any new player tried out since they added the tutorial feature, and for good reasons. She is one of the most rudimentary carries in the game, but following her rework, she is also one of the most enjoyable.

Her ultimate is the most obvious reason. A global skillshot stun is probably one of the additions to the game that has the highest potential to create many insane moments, and if you’ve played many games with this champion, chances are you’ve had multiple. Firing a cross-map arrow that lands in the enemies lap is one of the best feelings you can get from playing this game.

Luckily, the rest of her kit also functions adequately. After reaching five stacks of her passive, you can activate her Q which drastically increases Ashe’s damage output in a highly visually appealing ability.

The real reason Ashe is on this list, however, he because she is emblematic of League of Legends. She has been part of marketing campaigns, is the tutorial champion and is one of the most basic. She essentially is the League of Legends poster champion, and we love her for it.

You can see Ashe being played as far back as Season 1, solidifying her place as the League champion. Cross map arrows like this were starting all the way back then.
