The latest 7.9 patch update is officially live in League of Legends. That’s right, three tanking champions all got solid updates and yes, the updated Rift Herald can now become an ally for your team.

For weeks now, Summoners in League of Legends have been anxiously awaiting the latest patch update. In 7.9, developers made sure to update Maokai, Sejuani, and Zac. This is the Mid-Season Invitational update they’ve been talking about for weeks and well, it lives up to the hype.

Support champions now got a massive update that makes them feel like they’re actually part of the team and not just unsung heroes. Their main starting items now have quests that will make playing the Support role more engaging and crucial to team chemistry.

The biggest update of them all is with the Rift Herald who got updated to the point where she will now be able to be an ally for your team. She can ram down opposing towers and be a difference-maker to push lanes in the first half of a match.

Below are the official notes from patch update 7.9 written by Aether, Gentleman Gustaf, and Luqizilla. Make sure to log in when you can and enjoy everything this awesome new update has to offer.
