Kassadin and Ahri remain in the S tier, now joined by Cassiopeia following her recent changes in the last patch. As predicted, those mana changes to her Q have changed her build path to early Tear > Seraph’s Embrace > Rylai’s rather than her previous Luden’s > Rylai’s. However, this change seems to be boosting Cass’s win rate, as she has more survivability with the Seraph’s shield, only sacrificing some early mana and specing more into a late-game threat.

We must also use this space to pay our respects to mid lane Pyke, who was absolutely gutted by the damage changes in Patch 8.24(b). From B tier in Patch 8.24, Pyke falls all the way to the bottom tier in our Patch 8.24(b) tier list. It was fun while it lasted, but it appears the Bilgewater Ripper will be back in the bot lane where he was meant to be.

One other pick who rose in prominence is Galio (as noted by Mobalytics in their 8.24 Q&A video) after the changes to his Q in that patch. More than that, though, is the fact that AD bruisers and assassins like Yasuo and Irelia have fallen out of prominence. Now that mid is mainly build around high burst mages, Galio is finally able to shine again.
