The winners of the 2018 LDL are one of the newest additions to the LPL. The team rampaged through China’s developmental system, going 14-0 in their northern division and they maintained their momentum, with a slight hiccup against UP, all the way to the LDL finals where they beat Unlimited Potential and earned themselves the trophy.

As they are all rookie players, their hype can only land them in a predicted tenth place finish as the LPL has stiff competition. They also failed to win a match in their very brief run in the Demacia Cup which is slightly worrying even though it is only a minor tournament. However, the teams below them contain a lot of inferior LDL talent which means SinoDragon should be able to keep themselves off the bottom of the table even though they are a rookie squad.

Mitsuki wasn’t part of the victorious LDL side but had been with the team previously and was allowed to rejoin once the team qualified for the LPL. This means that Mark will most likely start along with the rest of the original roster.

Their introduction to the LPL is going to be a rocky one as they face EDG in their opening match, it’s not likely they’ll be able to win this one but what is important is that they ensure a loss won’t knock their confidence too much. Their second match against WE is a winnable one if SDG plays with confidence though WE are still slightly favoured due to SDG’s inexperience in China’s top league.
