Week 1 Games:
vs LGD Gaming  (15th of January) (Hangzhou)

Bilibili Gaming (BLG) had a disappointing summer split, to say the least. However, they were in the past a playoff caliber team and they are capable of reaching that level again with this roster they’ve assembled.  They’ve kept some valuable players and imported others from South Korea.

Losing their top laner AmazingJ to RNG is likely to be a blow. ADD has come over from the recently relegated MVP in Korea where he had some good spells and some bad ones. AmazingJ is probably the better top laner overall but ADD is an adequate player and will still be an asset for BLG.

Chieftain played the most games for Bilibili in the jungle last split to mixed results. He’ll be alongside two other junglers this time which will hopefully light a fire under him. The first is Meteor who comes from LDL outfit Victory Song Gaming, he’s a pure rookie so essentially a question mark. Jackairay is even purer a rookie as he hasn’t even competed in the LDL, he’s been pulled straight from soloQ for this Bilibili roster.

Their most important is play is the other Korean they just imported. Kuro who is most famous for being part of the legendary KOO Tigers lineup and more recently reaching the semi-finals of Worlds with the Afreeca Freecs. His consistent and profitably playstyle will give BLG a rock in the middle lane which should allow their other carries to play with more freedom.

Jinjao has been kept as the sole ADC for this split. He is an alright player but definitely not top tier. If they couldn’t find anyone better then Jinjao will have to do the job. His ability to do that job isn’t made any easier by the departure of his support Road. In Road’s place, he has two rookie supports. Mni is a similar situation to Jackairay, he has been taken straight from soloQ to bolster the roster. Kine who is probably their starter played for LaoPengYou in the LDL, a team which only won two of fourteen series in their last split. This bottom lane is the biggest X factor for BLG, they’ll have to synergize quickly in order to not become a liability.

Despite the question marks around this roster, they will still probably beat LGD, it would take a real breakdown in communication for them to lose in Hangzhou.
