exceL eSports vs. Misfits

This game honestly looks like a bit of a dud. Misfits entered the year as a presumed favorite to take the LEC championship and make a run at Worlds, and their performance so far has borne that out. Yes, they dropped a game to Vitality, but they still looked incredibly strong.

ExceL, on the other hand, have looked like the rookie LEC team they were expected to be, their lone win coming against bottom-dwelling Rogue. It would be a shock – to put it mildly – if exceL pulled the upset here.

Prediction: Misfits

Schalke 04 vs. Splyce

Schalke may be 3-1 on the season, but those three wins have come against exceL, Origen, and Rogue, who have all of two wins between them. That’s hardly impressive, even if rookie mid laner Marek “Humanoid” Brázda has looked incredible.

He’ll face fellow rookie Felix “Abbedagge” Braun, who has been looking just as strong in his first few professional games. While the mid lane matchup is one to watch, I think the game will be decided in the bot lane. The duo of Upset and Ignar have been incredible for Schalke so far and should make quick work of Splyce’s Kobbe and Norskeren.

Prediction: Schalke 04
