League of Legends: Patch 9.7 Breakdown
Items
Enchantment: Cinderhulk
"Grilled Razorbeak: Deals 200% -> 300% bonus magic damage to minions and monsters"
The continuous roundabout of tank and carry junglers continues, but we’ll have to wait a bit longer for the tanks to take over yet. These changes definitely help tanks keep up with the likes of Kindred, Lee Sin, and Rek’Sai, but Cinderhulk and tanks will have to be buffed a bit more before it’s the go-to choice for junglers.
The Dark Seal
"Ability Power: 15 -> 10 Sellback Value: 245 gold -> 140 gold"
Recently it hasn’t been too uncommon to see 2, even 3 Dark Seals in the inventories of pro players and its about time that was brought to an end. As Riot correctly states, Dark Seal is supposed to be a cheeky purchase with the potential of upgrading it into a Mejai’s Soulstealer, not an extremely efficient 350g stopgap.
Wit’s End
"Total Cost: 2400 gold -> 2900 gold Build Path: Recurve Bow + Negatron Cloak + Dagger + 380 gold -> Recurve Bow + Negatron Cloak + Dagger + 880 gold Attack Speed: 40% -> 50% Magic Resit: 40 >>> 50 [New] Movement Speed: 5% On-Hit Damage: 42 -> 15-80 (levels 1-18) [New] Health Steal: Heal for the amount of on-hit damage dealt by Wit’s End (33% effective for ranged) [Removed] Magic Resist Steal: Basic attacks no longer steal 6 magic resist (3 for ranged), up to 30"
A completely new look for a heavily underutilised item, Wit’s End might find its way into the inventories of both solo queue and pro players on Patch 9.7 as it provides bruisers with a new attack speed option. Champions like Irelia, Jax, and Master Yi will all love this reworked version of this item due to its on-hit effects as well as its strong healing.
While its currently a bit of an unknown quantity, it won’t be long before we find out how broken or useless Wit’s End is as we’ll no doubt witness our teammates hit their 10/0 or 0/10 power spikes in the coming days.
