A League of Legends guide that will show how to get gold from killing your enemies!

The enemy champion

“But wait, there’s something else in that lane I have to deal with?” I hear you asking. Yes, that’s right. Opposite you in lane is an enemy champion who is looking to accomplish all the same goals as you. You thus want to stop him from getting gold and experience while claiming them for yourself.

This can be done in a few subtle ways, but the most obvious is just to kill the enemy champion. If you kill the enemy champion, they will have to wait to respawn in base and then walk back to the lane. During all that time, they will not be last hitting or getting experience, but you are free to do so.

Of course, killing an enemy champion will also net you some gold and experience for your trouble. The amount of gold and experience awarded depends on which enemy you kill (stronger enemies are worth more) and how strong you are (the stronger you are the less kills benefit you).

In general, though, a kill will net you about the same amount of gold as 15 CS. That’s about two and a half waves of minions to one kill. So, yes, getting kills is great and feels satisfying, but you can get more gold through proper last hitting and accumulating CS.
