Items

Essence Reaver

"ATTACK DAMAGE :: 65 >>> 70"

Since the reverting of AD items, Essence Reaver has become a staple of many ability-heavy AD Carries. Nevertheless, the likes of Sivir and Xayah suffer early on against their Infinity Edge rushing opponents, such as Caitlyn and Jinx, due to the large trade-off of damage for mana sustainability. Reducing the gap between ER and IE from 15 AD to 10 AD will help your Sivirs and Xayahs keep up with more popular options in the bottom lane.

Guinsoo’s Rageblade

"PHANTOM HIT FREQUENCY :: Every 2 attacks >>> Every 3 attacks ARMOR PENETRATION :: 6% (+0.5% per level, 15% max) >>> 15% MAGIC PENETRATION :: 6% (+0.5% per level, 15% max) >>> 15%"

With this Guinsoos becomes a much less permanently oppressive item and instead offers a lot when up against tanks. Swapping out the phantom hit every 2 attacks for every 3 attacks reduces the power of the item quite significantly but replacing it with armor and magic penetration is a fair swap. Expect champions to still buy this item but it won’t be as strong as in previous patches.

Hunter’s Talisman

"[NEW] HOT DOGS :: Passive burn effect now applies on attacks from pets ITEM FAMILY :: Also applies to all of Hunter’s Talisman’s upgrades (Stalker’s Blade, Skirmisher’s Sabre, and all their variants)"

Shaco and Elise like this buff a lot. And with Elise rising in popularity recently, we can expect to see her pop up a lot more in the coming weeks.

Runic Echoes

"COMBINE COST :: 375 gold >>> 250 gold TOTAL COST :: 2625 gold >>> 2500 gold"

A nice, small buff for AP junglers like Elise, Evelynn, and Karthus. This should help them compete with the very AD-heavy jungle pool at the moment.

Runes

Conqueror

"GR8 :: At full stacks, ||| 10% >>> 8% of the damage dealt against champions is converted to true damage and healing"

Conqueror has been strong for a number of patches now and is a cornerstone of a number of top lane match-ups. Fortunately, Riot have listened to the community’s pleas for nerfs and have adjusted the true damage and healing aspect of the rune by 2%. While this won’t be the end of the world for Conq users, it will certainly create a much more level playing field on the top side of the map.
