Buffed champions

Caitlyn

We wouldn’t have thought that the small buff to her W – Yordle Snap Trap would boost her up that much. She did move up to the B+ tier, indicating she’s in a decent – if not strong.

Essence Reaver users

Essence Reaver got a nice 10 damage buff in Patch 9.10, in an effort to encourage more champions to buy it. Right now – per LeagueofGraphs – only three champions build the item with any consistency. Here they are and their net change from Patch 9.9 to 9.10:

  • Lucian: -0.091
  • Sivir: +0.082
  • Xayah: +0.484

So, it seems that the buff was overall a good thing. Unfortunately, though, not many champions seem to be building it consistently.

Nerfed champions

Vayne

The nerf to Vayne’s R – Final Hour definitely had an effect on the Night Hunter. She fell from the S tier to the A+ tier, making room for Jinx at the top of the list.

Guinsoos Rageblade users

Guinsoos Rageblade got hit with a significant nerf in 9.10, increasing the number of attacks before the “phantom hit” applying the on-hit effects. Yes, Riot did give it an overall buff to its armor and magic pen, but this item was being built more by on-hit users primarily, as it is still in Patch 9.10.

  • Kog’Maw: -0.164
  • Varus: -0.264
  • Vayne: -0.245
  • Kai’Sa: 0.034

As you can see, this was an overall net nerf to its primary users. This also hurt its two biggest users – Varus and Vayne – more than someone like Kai’Sa, who has the luxury of being more flexible in her build.
