5. Golden Guardians

New players: Victor “FBI” Huang (Academy), Darshan “Darshan” Upadhyaya (Academy), Choi “Huhi” Jae-hyun (Academy)

The Guardians had an abysmal start in spring, going 0-4 to start the season. Luckily, they turned it around and made a strong push it into the playoffs before ultimately falling in the first round. I would expect them to continue to look better and dominate the bottom teams going into summer.

They’ll be carried on the back of their two stars, Hauntzer in the top lane and Froggen in the mid lane. They also have two underappreciated players in jungler Contractz and Kim “Olleh” Joo-sung

Player to watch: Henrik “Froggen” Hansen
Froggen surprised everyone with his renaissance performance in spring he was written off as a relic of that matters but he rebounded in the spring and was one of the best mid laners in the league, posting one of the highest kill participation and kill shares of all LCS mids. If he continues his strong performance Golden Guardians can challenge for a title. If he falters, though, they might miss the playoffs altogether

Trending: down

This team is entirely reliant on their solo lanes, with a lot of weak play coming out of the jungle and bot lane. They sorely need improved play from Deftly and Olleh to really be a strong team.
