Ability Description

"Passive (Echoing Flames) – Urgot’s six legs each conceal a shotgun that covers an arc, together forming a full circle of cover around him. Each shotgun has one shell and an individual reload timer. The next basic attack on-hit in the direction and range of a loaded shotgun causes it to fire, instantly dealing physical damage to enemies in a cone."

Urgot’s passive is shotgun knees baby! Urgot gets six indicators around his body, each of which is a shotgun knee. If he attacks in the direction of one of those knees, he’ll also do damage in a small area around his primary target.

However, this passive is not always up, so if the knee is “reloading” there won’t be an indicator and Urgot won’t do that bonus damage if he attacks in that direction. So if you play around these indicators properly, you can maximize the damage you do to your target as Urgot, or play around where most of his damage is coming from.

"Q (Corrosive Charge) – Urgot launches a canister at the target location that explodes after 0.6 seconds, dealing physical damage and slowing all enemies hit for 1 second."

A very basic damage ability here for Urgot. It’s a skill shot in a circular area that detonates after it lands. Not much to say about its usage except to try and hit it.

"W (Purge) – PASSIVE: Urgot’s other abilities apply Purge to enemy champions for 5 seconds. Only one enemy champion can be marked at a time. ACTIVE: For 4 seconds, Urgot is ghosted, gains 40% slow resist and autonomously basic attacks the nearest enemy at 3.0 attack speed, prioritizing enemy champions marked for Purging, refreshing the mark with every attack. He can keep attacking without interrupting his movement, but while firing his base movement speed is reduced by 125. Attacks deal modified damage, down to a minimum of 50 damage against minions, with only 50% on-hit damage and cannot critically strike. After 0.5 seconds, Urgot can reactivate Purge to end all effects. At maximum rank, Purge lasts indefinitely and becomes a toggled ability."

So this is a bit more complex, given that it interacts with all his other abilities. When you activate Urgot’s W, you gain attack speed, slow resist, and start doing more damage to the enemy marked with Purge. Purge is applied by hitting an enemy with your abilities, including your first attack after activating W, so it’s critical you land your Qs before you engage so you’re maximizing the damage on trades.

"E (Disdain) – Urgot shields himself for 4 seconds. After 0.25 seconds, Urgot dashes in the target direction, though not through terrain, dealing physical damage to all enemies in the way and knocking them aside. Urgot comes to a stop upon colliding with an enemy champion, flinging them over himself and stunning them for 0.75 seconds after they land."

Another pretty easy ability in terms of how and when to use it. Disdain isn’t a great tool for escaping, considering it can’t go over terrain, but it is great for engaging in a 1v1. It will apply the Purge, it grants you a shield to basically win any fight, and it provides CC that can give you that extra space in a fight.

"R (Fear Beyond Death)   FIRST CAST: After a 0.5-second delay, Urgot fires a chem-drill forward that impales the first enemy champion struck, dealing physical damage, leashing them for 4 seconds and slowing them. If the target is below 25% of their maximum health, Fear Beyond Death can be re-activated, and automatically does so after 4 seconds if the target is within the threshold. SECOND CAST: Urgot begins channeling as he launches chains at the target, suppressing them and pushing them up to 1000 units away, after which they’re reeled in over 1.5 seconds, during which they are untargetable by other effects. The channel can only be interrupted by Urgot’s death. If the channel is successful, the target is executed and surrounding enemies are terrified for 1.5 seconds, also slowing them by 75%."

Fear Beyond Death is a long-range skill shot that will mark the enemy champion struck for the next four seconds. If the target drops below 25% HP, Urgot can reel them in for a guaranteed execution that can only be prevented by killing Urgot before the poor fish gets pulled out of the water.

This ability is about as good of an execute as exists in League of Legends. Not only is it guaranteed once the marked enemy is below the threshold, but it’s also only prevented by going full Kled and killing your way out!
