Buffed champions

Gragas

If you’re buying, he’s in! Those buffs to Gragas’s base stats did bump the Rabble Rouser’s win rate back over 50%, but he’s still in our C tier. I wouldn’t be surprised, though, if he climbs higher in future tier lists.

Warwick

Warwick got buffs to the heal on his Q – Jaws of the Beast, but as I noted those really didn’t move the needle too much. Yes, his win rate jumped to above 50%, from 49.7% to 50.6%, but less than a 1% increase still puts him outside the top 15 winningest junglers.

Zac

I was really hyped to see if the revert to Zac’s R – Let’s Bounce, along with the buffs to his W – Unstable Matter would bring him back into the meta (despite his Q – Stretching Strikes getting nerfed). And, yes, he’s no longer in our F tier (aka completely unviable), but he is in the D tier which means he is basically a niche to off-meta pick.

Also, his win rate actually dropped as a result of these changes, from 49.3% to 47.2%. I’d say this was a matter of needing to re-learn the champion’s “new” ult but that seems unlikely given it’s a revert of his kit. The big blob probably needs some buffs, ASAP.

Nerfed champions

Amumu

The damage nerf to Amumu’s Passive – Cursed Touch definitely had him crying. Although he didn’t drop from his spot in the B+ tier from in the last patch, his win rate dropped a full 1.5% from 50.9% to 49.6% in one patch.

Karthus

Once again, I’ll point to the mid tier list where we noted how massively the Karthus nerfs to his R – Requiem hurt his standing in that position. In the jungle, the effects were just as bad, dropping him from S tier all the way down to B+. His win rate also dropped to 50.9%, the lowest it’s been in five patches.

Master Yi

Yeah those Master Yi nerfs really destroyed the Wuju Bladesman’s spot in the jungle lineup. Not only did he fall into the C tier, but his win rate also dropped from 49.7% to 47.5%. That over 2% drop in his win rate certainly caused Riot to partially-revert some of the changes to his Q – Alpha Strike.

Rammus

Rammus also took some nerfs to his Passive – Spiked Shell and R – Tremors damage. As a result, he dropped to A tier from A+ tier. Most critically, though, after having the second-best win rate among junglers in the past two patches, Rammus’s win rate fell to 49.9% in Patch 9.11, which is 22nd in the role.
