Sona

"Q – Hymn of Valor AURA DAMAGE RATIO :: 0.3 ability power >>> 0.2 ability power E – Song of Celerity BONUS MOVEMENT SPEED RATIO :: 6% movement speed per 100 ability power >>> 3% movement speed per 100 ability power"

One thing we all didn’t expect to see this season was a nerf to bottom lane carry Sona, but here we are! These two small, but effective nerfs are the perfect step to reducing Sona’s presence in the bottom lane in competitive play and high elo solo queue.

Sylas

"Base Stats ATTACK DAMAGE :: 58 >>> 61 HEALTH GROWTH :: 85 >>> 95 W – Kingslayer BASE DAMAGE :: 60/90/120/150/180 >>> 65/100/135/170/205"

Since release, Sylas has been wreaking havoc from the solo lanes and maintaining an extremely high presence and win rate. That was until his Patch 9.12 nerfs that saw his win rate tank to 41.27%, the lowest of any champion on this patch. However our escape from the unbalanced terror was short-lived as he’s immediately been given some of his power back and will probably regain a large portion of his oppressiveness in Patch 9.13.

Syndra

"Base Stats MANA GROWTH :: 30 >>> 40"

A pretty basic buff for Syndra that may see her compete amongst the current crop of mid lane champions on Patch 9.13.

Tristana

"Base Stats ATTACK DAMAGE GROWTH :: 3.11 >>> 3.3 MANA :: 246.76 >>> 250 MANA REGEN :: 7.206 >>> 7.2 W – Rocket Jump MAGIC DAMAGE :: 85/135/185/235/285 >>> 95/145/185/245/295"

Once again, another small buff to a champion that can’t currently compete with her counterparts. These changes to Tristana’s base stats may see a few ADC mains consider her more often but won’t push her up to the upper echelons of marksman picks.

Udyr

"Passive – Monkey’s Ability [NEW] ABILITY RANKS :: All abilities can now be leveled up 6 times, starting at level 16 Q – Tiger Stance DAMAGE :: 30/60/90/120/150 (+1.2/1.35/1.5/1.65/1.8 attack damage) >>> 30/60/90/120/150/180 (+1.1/1.25/1.4/1.55/1.7/1.85 attack damage) W – Turtle Stance SHIELD :: 60/95/130/165/200 >>> 60/95/130/165/200/235 E – Bear Stance BONUS MOVEMENT SPEED :: 15/20/25/30/35% >>> 15/20/25/30/35/40% BONUS MOVEMENT SPEED DURATION :: 2/2.25/2.5/2.75/3 seconds >>> 2/2.25/2.5/2.75/3/3.25 seconds R – Phoenix Stance CONE DAMAGE :: 40/80/120/160/200 >>> 50/95/140/185/230/275 DAMAGE PER TICK :: 10/20/30/40/50 >>>10/20/30/40/50/60"

A small overhaul for Udyr will now see him level his abilities 6 times from level 16. On top of that, some of his abilities have seen some small buffs to their power. Nonetheless, it’s unlikely that this will make a huge difference to the one-dimensional jungler and instead he’ll just remain as an extremely niche option.

Items

Essence Reaver

"COST :: 3200 gold >>> 3300 gold BUILD PATH :: Pickaxe + Caulfield’s Warhammer + Cloak of Agility + 425 gold >>> B.F. Sword + Caulfield’s Warhammer + Cloak of Agility + 100 gold"

Since it’s revert, Essence Reaver has been key to bottom lane match-ups and has seen a number of marksmen rise up the tiers including Sivir and Xayah. In order to bring more balance to the ADC role, the cost and build path have been adjusted and we should see slightly less priority on the ER rushers.

Randuin’s Omen

"COST :: 2900 gold (900 gold combine cost) >>> 2700 gold (700 gold combine cost)"

Randuin’s Omen is hardly seen nowadays due to its massive cost and a number of alternative options taking its place. While a 200g price reduction may not seem like much, it definitely brings this item back into the fold, particularly when facing AD-heavy compositions.

Rod of Ages

"COST :: 2700 gold (750 gold combine cost) >>> 2600 gold (650 gold combine cost)"

Another small price reduction to an under-utilised item in the current meta. While its unlikely this will shift the mid/top lane tier lists, it’ll definitely be something to consider for the likes of Kassadin and Zilean on Patch 9.13.
