New subtractions

Heimerdinger

He’s been consistently out of the meta since around Patch 9.7. After briefly rejoining in the F tier in 9.12, it appears Heimer has officially dropped back out of the mid lane meta.

Kled

Kled really isn’t a mid lane pick, but kind of cropped up last patch to play into those AD fighters like Camille who started to make their presence known. Now that this trend is dying down, Kled is heading back to the top lane.

Pantheon

Last patch was really the only time we saw Pantheon as a viable mid lane pick. Like Kled, he’s relegated to the top lane.

Pyke

Pyke got smacked hard by the nerfs to his laning. As with top lane, these changes were enough to take him out of the mid lane meta completely.

Jayce

Finally, we have Jayce, who fell out of the mid lane tier list for the first time ever. He got some hefty nerfs back in 9.11 that pushed him into the F tier. Now it appears that not enough sites have confidence that he can be a viable pick into all the strong assassins dominating mid.

Rising Champions

Talon (A+ to S tier)

He’s always been one of the top-tier assassins in the mid lane meta, but he’s constantly overshadowed by Zed. He hasn’t received any buffs or nerfs and his win rate has been consistently around that 51% mark for a few patches. Yet, incredibly, this will be the first time ever that Talon is in the S tier.

Mordekaiser (C to B+ tier)

Technically, this is Morde’s re-entry into the tier list following his rework but it’s quite clear that Mordekaiser is doing just fine in mid lane, even if he might be better top. He’s currently rocking a 51.9% win rate as a mid laner.
