8. Demon

What it does: Gain a 30%/50%/70% chance to burn all the target’s current mana, dealing true damage equal to mana burned.
Requirement: Two (2)/four (4)/six (6) champions.
Eligible champions: Elise (2g), Varus (2g), Aatrox (3g), Evelynn (3g), Morgana (3g), Brand (4g), Swain (5g)
Reason for rank: There’s a lot of late-game investment to get a lot of chance to proc this passive, and a lot of people feel that the champions available in the first few levels aren’t worth it. To me, though, getting to four champions for this 50% mana burn chance is pretty solid for a late-game build. The low-cost champions can also fit into some decent class builds like Ranger (Varus) or Assassin (Evelynn) while you wait to get those later champions.

7. Phantom

What it does: One randomly selected cursed enemy has their HP set to 100.
Requirement: Two (2) champions.
Eligible champions: Mordekaiser (1g), Kindred (4g), Karthus (5g)
Reason for rank: This passive is entirely RNG-based. If the curse hits the proper target, it could single-handedly win the fight. As the game gets longer, though, this Origin becomes less effective, as there are more champions it can target.

6. Dragon

What it does: Dragons are immune to magic damage.
Requirement: Two (2) champions.
Eligible champions: Shyvana (3g), Aurelion Sol (4g)
Reason for rank: This passive is pretty great, no doubt about it. Having immunity for two of your champions against magic damage will be huge when facing teams with a lot of AP damage like Sorcerers.

The only real downside is that you have to hit on both of these units late in the game, and both are rather expensive (A Sol is one of the best champions in the game, though, so the investment into him is worth it). Shyvana, however, really doesn’t provide any great class synergies, so prioritizing her for this Origin can feel bad.
