Mid lane

1. Heo “ShowMaker” Su (Sandbox Gaming)

I really don’t get how so many are not giving ShowMaker the love he (in my mind) deserves for his play this year. He’s one of the best laners in the LCK, averaging a 100g, 71 experience, and 3.9 CS lead at the 10-minute mark. This is in spite of the fact that his team, while one of the top three overall in the LCK, is rated only the fifth-best early game team.

On top of having the best adjusted KDA of all mid laners (4.89), he also has the best adjusted KP in his position (108%), giving him the highest kill efficiency of all Korean mids by a large margin. Dove may die less than ShowMaker and have more solo kills, but ShowMaker can make things happen for his team with over six assists per game on average.

2. Kim “Dove” Jae-yeon (Sandbox Gaming)
3. Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon (Griffin)
4. Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok (SK Telecom T1)
5. Son “Ucal” Woo-hyeon (Afreeca Freecs)
6. Kim “Lava” Tae-hoon (Hanwha Life Esports)
7. Kim “Gori” Tae-woo (SK Telecom T1)
8. Kang “Tempt” Myung-gu (Hanwha Life Esports)
9. Song “Fly” Yong-jun (Gen.G)

Making the decision to sub in Fly over Kuzan in Week 5 paid immediate dividends as Gen.G went 4-0 in their two series, including a takedown of Griffin. Although Fly posted a 4.63 aKDA, his other numbers aren’t quite as impressive. He only had a 96% aKP (100% aKP is the average value), and his adjusted GPM and DPM were both well below the league average. It’s a small sample size, but it will be interesting to see if Gen.G’s coaching staff feels like Fly was the reason for the team’s success in spite of his mediocre individual stats.

10. Yoo “Naehyun” Nae-hyun (Kingzone DragonX)
11. Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong (KT Rolster)
12. Lee “Kuzan” Seong-hyeok (Gen.G)
13. Choi “CheonGo” Hyeon-woo (Jin Air Green Wings)
14. Lee “Grace” Chan-ju (Jin Air Green Wings)
