3. SPY Humanoid
Most improved player from the Spring Split to the Summer Split? Surely that’s got to go to Splyce’s mid laner Marek “Humanoid” Brázda. After Splyce fell to Fnatic in the second round of playoffs, fingers were pointed at Humanoid’s inability to adapt to the LEC stage and lack of synergy with jungler Xerxe as reasons for his team’s failure to reach the top three. But now there is nothing but praise for the Czech mid laner as he looks to guide his team to not only playoff success, but also Worlds qualification.

He may not top the CS, damage, or KDA charts, but he is always on hand to provide the utility and map pressure Splyce require for a comfortable early game. Not only that, Humanoid is responsible for a huge 10 solo kills so far in the Summer Split, more than any other player in the league. The Splyce mid laner might have disappointed fans throughout Spring, but when it comes to the final stretch before playoffs, there is nobody more capable of aiding his team towards their first appearance at Worlds since 2016.

9. VIT Jiizuke
If you were to pile up Daniele “Jiizuke” di Mauro’s isolated deaths in the regular season so far, you’d undoubtedly be hitting double digits. It’s been a poor start to the second half of the season for Jiizuke, as demonstrated by a 4-6 record for Team Vitality.

That being said, Week 5 looks like the start of a new chapter for the Italian mid laner as he picked up a Player of the Game performance on Corki in Vitality’s massive win over Origen. Jiizuke’s early game roams were pivotal in his team’s victory and he even picked up the odd solo kill to keep his team in the game later on. If he can maintain this level of performance in the second half of the split, Vitality have an excellent chance of clinching playoffs.
