How can LIDER be seventh??? He got seven solo kills against Fnatic! His Akali was incredible! He’s better than Nemesis!

Calm down. After only four games on the LEC stage, the verdict on this new Misfits Gaming roster is still up in the air, that includes Adam “LIDER” Ilyasov who impressed in Misfits’ win over Fnatic in Week 6. But, although his Akali game was excellent and one of the best solo performances of the season, the following day the Norwegian mid laner picked up Qiyana and was very disappointing, especially considering the Empress of the Elements’ domination of pro play on Patch 9.14.

However, before I’m crucified for my low ranking of Misfits’ prodigy in the middle lane, it’s worth pointing out that 7th is a huge improvement on his Week 6 ranking of 10th. And it was deserved as Misfits took down Fnatic and set down a marker for the teams around them, proving that they’re ready to claim the 6th place spot in the standings despite their rookie status.

So, will LIDER continue to play carries? Can we expect to see more performances like the one that won him his first ever Player of the Game award on W6D1? It’s likely. The mid laner’s champion pool is large, but dominated by assassins such as Akali, Irelia, Zed, and Yasuo, so LEC viewers are in for a treat whenever the new Misfits mid takes to the stage in the final weeks of the season.
