Splyce have won 9 of their last 10 games in an unbelievable climb up the standings and are now challenging Fnatic for a bye to the playoff finals in Athens. Every member of this roster have combined to create an unstoppable force that wins through intelligent map play and objective set-up rather than brute force. Considering the important of jungle-support synergy when it comes to preparation for key objectives and vision control, it may come as a surprise that Tore Hoel “Norskeren” Eilertsen hasn’t been praised more for his contribution to Splyce’s rise to the top three.
Everyone’s favourite statistic is definitely vision score per minute, nothing is more exciting than a good warder, so that’s why Norskeren is the most exciting support player in the LEC at the moment. 2.62 vision score per minute, how can you argue with these sort of statistics? Norskeren sits at the top of the standings when it comes to vision score and it shows with how well Splyce prepare for elemental dragons and Baron Nashor.
More importantly, it’s the priority in the bottom lane that leads to an average +256 gold difference at fifteen minutes, followed by creative roams to the middle lane or to join up with Xerxe, as well as excellent late game peel for Kobbe, that makes Norskeren one of the most well-rounded support players in Europe. At a time when Xerxe receives all the plaudits for his work in the jungle to guide Splyce into the mid game with a healthy gold lead, perhaps it is time Norskeren receives some of this praise for his ability to consistently impress at every stage of the game.
In their current state, Splyce look destined to challenge in playoffs – possibly making the final two – and have an incredible chance of qualifying for Worlds at the end of the season. If they’re to accomplish their goals for the 2019 season, their Norwegian support will need to continue his great run of form and keep the five-man unit of Splyce on the path to success.
