Knight

"Knights block 20/40/80 damage from basic attacks ⇒ Your team ignores 15/30/55 damage from all sources."

This is a great change to make Knight’s feel like a comp that is actually worth building around. They’ll be worse in the early game, but I’ll have to see if the reduction for the team is enough to justify building them late.

"Darius Armor: 25 ⇒ 40 Garen Armor: 35 ⇒ 40 Mordekaiser Armor: 35 ⇒ 40 Sejuani Armor: 35 ⇒ 40 Kayle Armor: 35 ⇒ 40"

All the Knights are getting an armor buff to compensate for their no longer getting individual damage reduction from basic attacks. Makes sense to me.

"Sejuani Stun Duration: 2/3.5/5 ⇒ 2/4/6"

I hate this. Like yes, Sejuani needed something to make her a unit that is worth spending 4g on but increasing her stun duration when she is probably already giving allies a chance to also stun players is just going to make Glacial comps feel worse to play again. Would have preferred they buffed her HP or something.

"Kayle HP: 800 ⇒ 750"

Don’t know why they’re doing this. Kayle is a trash-tier unit, especially among the 5g ones. This just makes her worse without items or at 1-star.

Ninja

"Ninja Trait Bonus: (1) 40% AD/(4) 80% AD ⇒ (1) +40 AD & AP / (4) +60 AD & AP"

Riot said that Ninjas had scaling issues in Teamfight Tactics, but I don’t necessarily think that is the case given that they got percent AD buffs, making them really good to build as primary units (especially since you wanted four of them) in the late game. Now, they’ll probably be good in the early to mid game, but having four Ninjas might not be worth it anymore.

"Shen Attack Speed: 0.6 ⇒ 0.7"

Shen is sneaky good right now as both a Ninja and Blademaster, so this buff only helps him as an early/mid game unit.

"Zed Attack Speed: 0.6 ⇒ 0.65 Zed Attack Damage: 60 ⇒ 65"

Ditto for Zed, who thrives in that early/mid stage with Assassins. He’s still going to be a great pick to build an early game comp around.

"Kennen Ability Damage: 400/650/900 ⇒ 225/450/675"

Finally, Kennen gets the nerf he desperately needed. The only question is whether it will prove to be too heavy, given he’s losing almost a third of his damage at 2-stars and almost half at 1-star.

"Akali Ability Damage: 200/375/550 ⇒ 150/275/400"

Also needed, but her ability damage nerf isn’t quite as severe as Kennen’s. Plus, like Zed, with the Assassin synergy, Akali does just fine just through her basic attacks.
