Tanner “Damonte” Damonte vs. Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg

Damonte is a classic case of a KDA player. His aKDA of 2.75 is respectable, better than players like Crown or Froggen, but his aKP of 94.1% betrays him. Even worse, his laning stats (-110 gold, -160 XP, and -4.5 CS at 10 minutes) show the picture of a player who isn’t good at generating leads for himself.

Then you look at his damage output and it is shockingly bad. He has an aDPM of 346.9, over 100 damage per minute below that of the average mid laner. Only Yusui outputs less damage than him (in his brief four-game display). The notoriously safe players like Pobelter, Ryu, and Jensen all have him by 50 DPM easily.

He’ll have to face against Bjergsen, who has had a massive downturn this summer after putting up arguably an MVP-caliber performance in the spring. But even in a down year, Bjerg is still pretty good, posting the second-best aKDA (3.91 behind Nisqy), solid laning numbers (averaging a 48g and 1 CS lead at 10) with solid damage and gold numbers. If Bjerg can even maintain this form in the coming series, I fully expect Damonte will get his head smashed in.
