League of Legends LCK Week 9 player power rankings – the case for Nuguri as MVP
By Josh Tyler
Jungle
1. Lee “Tarzan” Seung-yong (Griffin)
2. Moon “Cuzz” Woo-chan (Kingzone DragonX)
In terms of junglers, there actually isn’t that much separation between the top two players, Tarzan and Cuzz. Cuzz has been the best jungler for most of the split, but in the last two weeks Tarzan has overtaken him for the best jungler spot, as most observers would have predicted at the start of the year.
Just looking at the stats, Tarzan is massively better in terms of his laning numbers (121 GD, 221 XPD, 3.4 CSD at 10 vs 20/29/1.7 for Cuzz) and his aKDA is the best among all junglers by a massive amount (3.81 vs. Cuzz’s 2.16). However, Cuzz has been relied on more for damage (276.5 aDPM) and vision (2.51 VSPM) than Tarzan (231.2 aDPM and 1.89 VSPM). I personally favor Cuzz just because he tends to play more supportive junglers than Tarzan, but given how strong Griffin has been as a team it makes sense that he is ranked higher.

9. Kim “Gori” Tae-woo (SK Telecom T1)
10. Kim “Lava” Tae-hoon (Hanwha Life Esports)
11. Lee “Rich” Jae-won (Gen.G)
Entering the final week of LCK play, Gen.G is still toying around with which mid laner they should be starting, giving five games worth of action to Rich. The numbers say that Rich has been a fairly mediocre talent in a small sample size, which is why he’s rated higher than Fly and Kuzan.
At this point, it’s quite obvious that if Gen.G is going to win in the Gauntlet it won’t be through their mid laner. Just play the mid you have the best synergy with, which right now is Fly.
12. Lee “Kuzan” Seong-hyeok (Gen.G)
13. Choi “CheonGo” Hyeon-woo (Jin Air Green Wings)
14. Song “Fly” Yong-jun (Gen.G)
15. Lee “Grace” Chan-ju (Jin Air Green Wings)
