2. See if you can keep Zven

This is a bit more of a long-shot, but if possible TSM should see if Zven would come back for another crack at the egg. It seems unlikely, but given that Zven decided to stay on TSM after his long-time laning partner Alfonso “Mithy” Aguirre Rodríguez left and how he has repeatedly said he wants to be the first player to win LCS and LEC titles, he could be convinced if the team is shown to be heading in the right direction.

Many might wonder why TSM would even want to keep Zven, given his propensity to misplay in key situations. The reasons are fairly simple.

First, Zven was, statistically, one of the top three ADCs in the LCS for most of his team in North America. Even though he doesn’t have the propensity to pop off like Cody Sun or Doublelift, Zven has been strong enough to where I don’t believe that TSM would easily be able to replace him.

The second reason is that ADC is probably the second or third-most important position in professional League of Legends. In organized play, where teams are able to block for and protect their AD Carry, the player who is able to survive and output the most DPS will often carry fights. Your mid/top or ADC will often be the critical members in the mid and late game, especially in North America where teams tend to not be able to close as efficiently.

Although maligned for critical mistakes (causing him to have a below-average 2.17 deaths per game), Zven led all starting ADCs in the summer in kill participation, damage per minute, and was second in damage percentage (stats per Oracles Elixir). It might be argued that those numbers are a result of TSM propping him up, but the fact is that Zven can still be one of the best ADCs in the region. TSM shouldn’t give that up without a fight unless they know they can replace him with someone of comparable skill (which is unlikely).
