Mordekaiser

"W – Indestructible DAMAGE DEALT POTENTIAL SHIELD :: 30% of the damage he deals >>> 35% of the damage he deals R – Realm of Death ARE YOU READY TO RUMBLE? :: Spectators now see the combatants in the Spooky Realm as appropriately spooky"

Morde is a very strong pick in solo queue, so I’m glad they’re not giving him too strong a buff to try and nudge him back into the meta. However, if Fiora re-enters the meta to the degree I think she could, that might be really bad for Mordekaiser. She can easily parry his crowd control (the claw is too slow and telegraphed) and her ult/healing can help her survive in his ult.

Orianna

"R – Command: Shockwave DAMAGE :: 150/225/300 (+0.7 ability power) >>> 200/275/350 (+0.8 ability power)"

Orianna is probably going to be one of the safest blind-pick mid laners in the meta thanks to these buffs (and Azir and Corki tumbling out of the meta). We’ll see if any champions other than Syndra rise up to match her.

Ornn

"Passive – Living Forge MASTERWORK UPGRADE :: Masterworks upgrade for free when Ornn reaches level ||| 13 >>> 12"

Yes, this helps his team earlier on in games, but I don’t think teams tend to pick Ornn for those Masterwork upgrades as much as his long-range initiation. Maybe this nudges him into a few spots in the meta, but not much more than that.

Pantheon

"Base Stats MAGIC RESIST :: 32.1 >>> 28"

Taking away MR actually hits him in the mid lane a lot, where he’s been a surprisingly good pick. It could also open him up to being countered by Kennen/Rumble/Mordekaiser top lane.

"W – Shield Vault EMPOWERED DAMAGE :: Deals 150% total attack damage over three hits >>> Deals 135-165% (levels 1-18) total attack damage over three hits"

Taking some damage off early to help him out late. Not much to say other than this kind of cripples any hope that Pantheon jungle might emerge as a pick at Worlds. He’ll likely still be a decent option in top or mid lane even with his laning weakened.
