20. Nguyễn “Slay” Ngọc Hùng (GAM Esports) – 69 OVR

Supports need to be able to control vision, and Slay is the worst support at Worlds in that respect. With a 1.96 VSPM during the regular season (in the VCS mind you), is 0.2 VSPM below the second-worst support in terms of vision, making him as close to that poor vision player as they are to the average for the position. Although he does live up to his name by putting out one of the highest damage numbers among supports, the poor vision and his weak laning (he averages being down 155 gold at 15) both drag his rating.

19. Tristan “Zeyzal” Stidam (Cloud9) – 72 OVR

Ranked right where his laning partner Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi was in our ADC list, Zeyzal is the worst support in terms of laning stats at Worlds. With a 160 gold and 46 XP deficit at 15, Zeyzal posts a -1.11 Laning Score to go along with his below-average vision control (2.2 VSPM). It’s unclear whether there is a chicken-or-egg problem with the synergy between Sneaky and Zeyzal, but this duo is going to get abused at Worlds.

18. Ling “Kaiwing” Kai Wing (Hong Kong Attitude) – 73 OVR

Kaiwing is also ranked exactly the same as his bot lane duo, Unified, and Kaiwing is actually not that poor in most major stats like kill participation and laning. Unfortunately, that 2.23 vision score per minute mark is still below the average for supports.

17. Lee “Effort” Sang-ho (SKT) – 73 OVR

Despite getting to play with Teddy, who is in the top five best ADCs at the World Championship, Effort is one of the worst supports in terms of kill participation (66.1% raw KP, 92.6% adjusted KP) and abysmal laning numbers (-77 gold, -167 experience at 15 combining for a -0.99 Laning Score). However, despite the obvious talent deficiencies the young support has shown, he does at least possess a modicum of skill in controlling vision with 2.57 VSPM.

16. Lin “Koala” Chih-Chiang (J-Team) – 74 OVR

I have to give mad props to Koala, who is a player I think could surprise a ton of viewers at Worlds. He is the best support in terms of vision control, posting a 2.64 VSPM. Unfortunately for him, just about all his other major stats (97.0% aKPM, -0.47 Laning Score) are below-average.
