5. Shi “Ming” Sen-Ming (RNG) – 80 OVR

While playing alongside a top-three ADC in the World in Uzi has its benefits, Ming has been a stalwart for his team in the bot lane. Like CoreJJ, he’s a bit underwhelming in terms of his damage outputs, but his vision control and kill participation are both among the best in the role.

4. Son “Lehends” Si-woo (Griffin) – 81 OVR

I think a LOT of people are sleeping on this Griffin bot lane of Viper and Lehends. For most of the season while Griffin struggled, I thought this guy was the bigger carry of the two, with his superior vision control and strong laning phase. His gold and damage numbers have dipped a bit in the time since, and his 99.0% adjusted KP isn’t where you’d want a superior support’s to be, but he’s still going to be a force to be reckoned with.

3. Ha “PoP” Min-wook (MEGA) – 83 OVR

Like I said, to be at the top of our tier list from an emerging region, you need to be a dominating player. PoP has been just that.

He leads all supports in average deaths per game (1.2), adjusted KDA (4.73), Kill Efficiency (4.8), adjusted gold per minute (291.7), gold difference at 15 (857), and experience difference at 15 (407). Now, will those godly numbers come down when facing tougher competition at Worlds? Probably. But I’m excited to see just how far a support can take MEGA, especially in the play-in stage.

2. Liu “Crisp” Qing-Song (FunPlus Phoenix) – 83 OVR

The second half of that mystery pairing for FPX (along with Lwx) that is going to give a lot of western viewers fits by the end of Worlds, Crisp is a monster when it comes to managing his income and vision score. He averages the most assists per game of any support with a staggering 11.1 assists per game. That doesn’t bolster his aKDA that much (especially since he dies a hair more than average for a support), but it’s still incredibly impressive.

1. Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle (G2 Esports) – 86 OVR

You don’t usually think of supports as big damage dealers, but Mikyx is the best support when it comes to contributing damage to his team. His 295.9 aDPM is the best for his position by a mile (the second-highest number, held by Luci is over 30 aDPM less). 295.9 aDPM is more damage per minute than the average jungler at Worlds, and the 13.3% damage share Mikyx kicks in on a team with so many carries is stellar.

His other stats are, of course, quite impressive. He averages just over 11 assists per game, has 285.3 aGPM, and averages gold (195) and experience (110) advantages at 15 minutes. He might be a bit overlooked for how critical he is to G2’s success, but Mikyx deserves recognition for his superior play.

The League of Legends World Championship kicks off Wednesday, October 2 at 7:00 EST / 13:00 CEST.
