Buffed champions

Graves

Nothing but base stat buffs for Graves helped pull him back onto the good side of our tier list. Now that he’s in our B tier, he’s officially at least a decent pick, even though he continues to be fairly unreliable and his win rate is just barely over 50%.

Rek’Sai

Hail of Blades Rek’Sai has become one of the popular contested jungle picks at Worlds, but she’s also seeing success in solo queue after getting some base armor added and letting her Q – Queen’s Wrath apply to turrets. However, it’s curious to note that she was about this strong in 9.18 both in terms of tier and win rate, so this seems to maybe be an effect of seeing a pick succeed in pro play.

Xin Zhao

On the other hand, Xin has been picked with some regularity even before the buffs to his Passive – Determination‘s heal and Q – Three Talon Strike‘s base damage. He’s up slightly into the B+ tier, but his win rate is also up massively by over 1.8%.

Zac

Ever since the mini-rework/revert of Zac’s kit, he’s been a niche jungle pick, so Riot gave some better value on the healing on his bloblets from his R – Let’s Bounce! Having that healthier scaling into the late game, Zac rose to the A tier and his win rate is up to 53.4%, the best among all junglers in the current meta.

Nerfed champions

Gragas

It was a tiny nerf to the cooldown and max health damage ratio on Gragas’s W – Drunken Rage aimed to keep him out of the must-pick status at Worlds (thank you Riot). The end result was that Gragas only dropped slightly in our tier list (from low-B to high-C tier) but given that his win rate fell by over 3% in 9.19, I wouldn’t be shocked to see him drop further next patch.

Pantheon

The Pantheon nerfs to his base MR had little effect on his jungling (camps do physical damage), but the empowered damage nerf to his W – Shield Vault should still have hit his jungle power a pit. Curiously, he actually rose in our tier list and still has one of the highest win rates in the role.

Sejuani

The nerf to Sej’s damage on her Passive – Fury of the North was huge. Her win rate dropped by almost 3% and she is a D tier champion (yeah she was D tier last patch, but now it’s justified).

Sylas

Finally, we have Sylas who saw his armor reduced in 9.19 as well as the damage to her Passive – Petricite Burst. He wasn’t exactly in the strongest support given numerous previous nerfs targetted at his jungling, but now Sylas is at one of his worst states since release. He’s a D tier jungler and has a win rate below 40%!
