Kog’Maw

"Base Stats Mana: 322.22 –> 325 Mana Regen: 8.676 –> 8.75 Q – Caustic Spittle Base Damage: 80/130/180/230/280 –> 90/140/190/240/290 E – Void Ooze Base Damage: 60/105/150/195/240 –> 75/120/165/210/255"

In a bottom lane thriving with champion diversity and unique picks, Kog’Maw is nowhere to be seen. The Void monster is completely out of his depth when it comes to early game damage, outmatched by crit ADCs in the late game, and his max health damage is worthless in a meta of so few tanks.

Negligible base stat rounding, and increased Q and E damage do not fix these problems. Yes, Kog’Maw can now win the occasional bot lane fight, but there is still no reason to pick him over other marksmen in the current meta. Sorry, Kog mains.

Lulu

"E – Help, Pix! Shield: 80/115/150/185/220 –> 80/120/160/200/240 Damage: 80/110/140/170/200 –> 80/120/160/200/240"

Recently, Lulu was replaced by Yuumi as the carry-shielding bot that AFK support players loved to climb the ranked ladder with. Now that Yuumi’s been butchered by the balance team, perhaps it’s time for a Lulu resurgence.

At level 6, Lulu’s shield is increased by 10 and her E damage is increased by 20. Not great, not terrible. We won’t be seeing Lulu in the top tiers of solo queue supports any time soon, but at least this brings her closer to the alternative shield and heal bots, such as Janna, Nami, and Soraka.

Maokai

"W – Twisted Advance Cost: 60/65/70/75/80 –> 60 at all levels Damage: 50/75/100/125/150 –> 70/95/120/145/170 R – Nature’s Grasp Root Duration: 0.6-2.4 seconds (based on distance travelled) ⇒ 0.8-2.6 seconds (based on distance travelled)"

Who? These changes are all well and good but don’t mean anything until Maokai is anywhere near a viable champion. Feel free to make use of his bonus damage and root duration in the support role though, I guess?

Master Yi

"Passive – Double Strike Phantom Hit Bugfix: Master Yi’s Phantom Hits (from Guinsoo’s Rageblade) will now properly proc Double Strike and apply Double Strike stacks"

This is a great bugfix for Master Yi players! This is a horrible bugfix for anyone facing Master Yi.

As if a fed Yi didn’t already kill you fast enough, he now applies the correct amount of damage after buying Guinsoo’s. His 50.25% win rate on Patch 9.20 could increase to a 51.25%+ win rate on Patch 9.21 after this change.
