League of Legends: How every LEC team should improve in the offseason
Rogue – AD Carry
We’re pretty sure Rogue has already made this decision for us with their constant swapping between AD Carries Martin “HeaQ” Kordmaa and Paweł “Woolite” Pruski throughout the 2019 season. It’s evident that the organization and coaching staff has little faith in either marksman in the long-run, so why wait?
Somehow against all odds, Rogue went from one of the worst tenth-placed teams in EU history in the Spring Split to an exciting, promising roster that finished fourth in the Summer Split. So much so, LEC viewers will probably have this team amongst the most highly anticipated line-ups in 2020 as we eagerly await what Kacper “Inspired” Słoma and Emil “Larssen” Larsson are capable of after a full split on the Berlin stage.
As for the other members of the roster… We’ll wait and see.
Profit and Finn can continue trading the starting spot while being useful in 50% of games and Vander is still a solid support, but the writing is undoubtedly on the wall for the Rogue bot laners.
HeaQ and Woolite both racked up extremely low damage shares for AD Carries in the 2019 Summer Split and were constantly behind in lane, averaging -879 and -531 gold difference at fifteen minutes respectively. If Larssen and Inspired want to create advantages in the center of the map and spread it across the Rift to push towards victory for Rogue, the coaching staff will certainly have to look at how capable the bottom lane is when it comes to going even or ahead in the 2v2.
With a number of excellent AD Carries currently without a team or lingering on Academy rosters, it would be inconceivable to think that Rogue aren’t sniffing around and hoping for an upgrade in the AD Carry role. While some may consider 4th place to be the limit for Rogue, there’s potential for this team to improve on their Summer Split results if they pick up another player as talented as their new mid-jungle duo.
