Tips for playing Evelynn

• Play safe and farm until level 6 to get her power spike and stealth. Then proceed to spam some ganks.  Pick off low champs with R use the extra damage with the execute, as well as an escape after it’s used by going backward. Get to the backline and kill the ADC. Kill the priority target first then kill everything else. Getting kills is your job as an assassin. As far as runes go here’s what is recommended for Evelynn
• Electrocute – Primarily to add burst damage. Secondary runes are usually Sorcery or Inspiration with a small percent going Precision.
• Dark Harvest – Another good option to add damage though not as consistent as Electrocute.

Tips for Playing against Evelynn

• Invade before stealth. She has a weaker early game before level 6 and is vulnerable to invades. It’s a good idea to get a couple kills on her while you can track her without stealth and make it harder for her, like any assassin to get a lead, snowball and win the game.
• Buy MR – Banshee’s Veil, Spirit Visage, Maw of Malmortius, and Abyssal Mask are all good items to stack Magic Resistance and stop her primary damage source.
• Take advantage of lack of defensive stats and builds, she mostly builds AP damage to be able to take down enemy targets. You can take advantage of her not adding to her defensive abilities and statistics to mow her down faster than she gets to you.
• Picking a tank is an option as well. However, with the extra execute damage from the buff being a tank isn’t as good of a choice as it once was.
• Control Wards are your friend. Buy them so she can’t sneak up on you and end you.

Personally, I think one of the toughest things about learning Evelynn is her stealth form vs. her visible form as there is a slight difference in the feel of the champion, but it might be an individual thing. You also may want to learn to know when to use her ultimate to escape, or finish off an execute.

There is a cross to mark when the ultimate will execute a champion so look for that. She’s like any assassin champion where a learning curve is apparent, but once mastered the one-shot kills will flow like water. Not overly combo dependent which is nice, but still relies on bursting down opponents. Still harder to handle than an average champion. I think a 7/10 is a fair rating.
