League of Legends: Yuumi prowls bottom of the Patch 9.24 support tier list

Buffed Champions
Braum
Riot buffed Braum’s base stats, W – Stand Behind Me and the CC on his R – Glacial Fissure because they wanted to give him more of an opportunity to protect his teammates and make plays. Well, the buffs he received were certainly enough to accomplish these goals and thrust him right back into the thick of viability in the support role.
Not only is his win rate up (48.3% to 49.6%) but his pick rate (4.2%) nearly doubled (2.4%) from last patch. All of these factors propelled Braum into the top half of supports in solo queue, making the B tier.
Karma
Riot explicitly said that they wanted to buff support Karma, which makes sense given how much of a menace tank Karma was in Season 9. Buffs to her E – Inspire‘s base shield were nice, but her win rate didn’t really respond as a result. She remains in our C tier in Patch 9.24, though she is slightly up from the previous patch.
Nerfed Champions
Senna
The newest champion (for about a week), Senna was incredibly strong in two roles, so Riot hit her with a bunch of nerfs to just about every ability. Most significant for her support role were the Mist Wrait drop chance on her Passive – Absolution and the root duration decrease to her W – Last Embrace.
Ultimately, these nerfs weren’t particularly meaningful to Senna, who remains towards the top of the A+ tier for supports. However, her win rate did drop by over 2% in Patch 9.24 as well, so she could be looking weaker than we project her here.
Yuumi
Finally, the Magical Cat has been driving bot laners crazy since her release, so Riot decided to pull back on her damage capabilities, while also buffing her supportive traits. As a result, she got nerfs to her Q – Prowling Projectile and W – You and Me! but also got a buff to her E – Zoomies.
Overall, the result of these changes was that Yuumi had the biggest decrease in our tier list rankings in Patch 9.24 among supports. She fell all the way into our F tier, behind Tahm Kench, Galio, and Neeko support. She also has the second-lowest win rate (45.5%) in her role.
Methodology: These rankings were determined by finding the average standardized score of a champion from eight different tier lists from sites around the internet. This is done by assigning a certain weight to each different score, rank, or grade given by these sites (for instance, both a “Diamond” rating and “A” grade would be worth a 90 score). The standardized score is then determined by looking at the average score given to all champions in every role by that site as well as the standard deviation of scores given (so that sites that give out more high grades will not have their As be worth the same as a site that gives out very few high grades).
The full, underlying data can be found here. This link also includes the full listing of how the scores are assigned. Champions must be rated by at least half of the sites audited in order to qualify for our tier list.
