League of Legends Patch 10.2 breakdown: Aphelios NERFED again
Champions
Nautilus
"Q – Dredge Line Damage: 80/130/180/230/280 -> 70/115/160/205/250"
From the Patch 10.2 preview:
“Lowering Dredge Line’s damage makes it more difficult to instantly burst down an enemy carry and makes alternative support champions a more attractive option on Patch 10.2, potentially cutting down Nautilus’ previously untouchable status at the top of the support tier list.”
Nonetheless, damage is not the most important aspect of Nautilus’ Q. The crowd control offered by both Dredge Line and his other skills are enough to keep him at the top of the support tier list, however, Leona and Thresh will definitely be pushing up close to him on Patch 10.2.
Qiyana
"W – Terrashape Attack Speed: 20% -> 5/10/15/20/25%"
From the Patch 10.2 preview:
“Due to the fact that Qiyana puts points into Terrashape last, this is basically a -15% attack speed nerf for her W. This means that her DPS is slightly lower and she’ll take a bit longer to clear out minion waves in the early game.”
Qiyana is a strong champion on Patch 10.2, but it feels unfair to single her out when the likes of Diana, Cassiopeia, Katarina, and Aurelion Sol are allowed to go into Patch 10.2 without nerfs. Hopefully the rest of the OP mid lane champions will be address on Patch 10.3.
Sona
"E – Song of Celerity Self Bonus Movement Speed: 10/11/12/13/14% (+3% per 100 AP) -> 25% (+4% per 100 AP)"
This is a really interesting change for Sona and warps how you have to view the champion when you face her on the Rift. Now, her E movement speed is a lot stronger right from the get-go, which means you’ll always have to be prepared for her to move in for some poke or get in range for a Crescendo.
Much like with Karma and Lulu, this buff will allow Sona to compete in the current fierce enchanter support meta. Nami remains Queen, but Janna, Soraka, Sona, Lulu, and Karma are all close behind now.
