LCS: 2020 Spring Split Player Power Ranking for Week 1

1. Lee “Ignar” Dong-geun (FlyQuest)

Man do I love being right. I said coming into this split that Ignar was going to prove to be the biggest upgrade for any team in the LCS and so far that has proven to be true. In addition to going deathless on the week, Ignar put up the second-best aKP and the best vision score of all supports despite having below-average early game jungle support.

4. Jo “CoreJJ” Yong-in (Team Liquid)
5. Tristan “Zeyzal” Stidam (Evil Geniuses)
6. William “Stunt” Chen (100 Thieves
7. Zaqueri “Aphromoo” Black (Dignitas)
8. Andy “Smoothie” Ta (CLG)
9. Vincent “Biofrost” Wang (TSM)

Biofrost is another TSM player who I think is escaping the blame for his poor play, particularly in that Liquid game. In that game, I charted him as having three isolated deaths in critical team fights, which is one of the big reasons TSM eventually lost their huge lead. I’m hoping he and Dardoch start to develop better synergy and playmaking in the mid game.

10. Yuri “Keith” Jew (Golden Guardians)

Well, this is not going well. Keith has looked quite atrocious since making the swap to support. In Week 1, he posted a 47.4% kill participation and 2.11 VSPM, both of which are the worst in the role.

All-LCS Team Week 1

No surprise, but for Week 1 the top-performing players will be those ranked number one in our rankings. In future weeks, I’ll base it more on who is performing at a high level compared to the rest of the pack and the rest of their season.
